Orchha or Urchha, is a beautiful medieval town, which is located in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. This town was founded by Maharaja Rudra Pratap Singh, Bundela Chief, in 1501. He also constructed a few temples and forts also during his reign. This town is placed on the banks of River Betwa. A well-known tourist destination in Madhya Pradesh state, it is also one of the most popular weekend getaways from Delhi.

Laxmi Narayan Temple is a beautiful mix of fort and temple architecture, which makes it a unique structure. The décor of the temple consists of mural paintings of mythological themes.
