Sariska

Sariska National Park is popularly known as Sariska Tiger Reserve after the Government made it a Tiger Reserve Park in 1978. It is an attraction for wildlife and natural habitat enthusiast and the Jungle Safari offered by the park is a hit amongst tourists and wildlife photographers. Due to the close proximity to Delhi it is one of the quickest getaways for people seeking reprieve from the hectic city life. Tourists can also visit temples and enjoy the historical places in the area. There are nice resorts to stay and it’s a place to visit with friends and family.

Alwar is the nearest railway station, located at a distance of 35 km from Sariska. One can easily find auto-rickshaws, taxis and cabs to commute in and around Sariska.

Jaipur is the nearest airport, located at a distance of 180 km, to reach Sariska. At the airport, there are taxis and cabs available to transverse in and around the town.

From Delhi, there is proper road connectivity available to reach Sariska. There are frequent bus services, cabs and taxis available to reach Sariska from Delhi, via Gurgaon, Sohna, and Alwar.

Sariska Tiger Reserve is an Indian National Park in Alwar district of Rajasthan state. It is a declared wildlife reserve since 1955 and tiger reserve since 1975. Sariska supports scrub-thorn arid forests and is a rocky region rich of mineral resources. The other animals besides tigers which can be found in this natural habitat are leapord, jungle cat, caracal, striped hyna, golden jackal, chital, sambhar, nilgai, chinkara, antelopes and blue bull which can can be commonly seen and found in dense areas of the park. The dominant tree in the forests is dhok one can also find salar, Kadaya, Ber & Khair.

In the morning after a leisurely breakfast drive back to Delhi.
