Sariska National Park is popularly known as Sariska Tiger Reserve after the Government made it a Tiger Reserve Park in 1978. Due to the close proximity to Delhi it is one of the quickest getaways for people seeking reprieve from the hectic city life. Sariska Tiger Reserve is an Indian National Park in Alwar district of Rajasthan state. It is a declared wildlife reserve since 1955 and tiger reserve since 1975. Sariska supports scrub-thorn arid forests and is a rocky region rich of mineral resources. The other animals besides tigers which can be found in this natural habitat are leapord, jungle cat, caracal, striped hyna, golden jackal, chital, sambhar, nilgai, chinkara, antelopes and blue bull which can can be commonly seen and found in dense areas of the park. The dominant tree in the forests is dhok one can also find salar, Kadaya, Ber & Khair.
