Sept 2018Kerala with Houseboat
Kerala - God has generously bestowed this land with the bounties of nature and so it only seems natural when Kerala is referred to, as Gods own country. Its narrow, fertile strip on the south west coast of India shows a gentle and relaxed side of India. The long coastline of Kerala has encouraged maritime contact with the outside world resulting in a blend of cultures. The state offers beautiful beaches, trips through peaceful lagoons - known as The Backwaters - hill stations, wildlife sanctuaries and complex cultural customs. Spend time idling away aboard a slowly drifting Kettuvallam floating along the tranquil Kerala backwater. Lie back and count the stars in the velvet sky of the tropical night or just watch together the sun set behind the backwaters.
